History
Grandview Theater has been part of your neighborhood since 1926. That’s 90+ years of history, so we’ve got loads of stories. Some are even true.
Here’s a few milestones in our journey & a few fun facts:
- Opened in September 1926 with 561 seats
- Closed in the early-1960s, became an antique store for a short period of time, then re-opened in the early-1980’s to screen films again.
- Purchased by Frank Marzetti & became Marzetti’s Studio 35. (35 being a reference to 35 mm film)
- Current owners, Andy Wuelfing, Eric Brembeck & Rita Volpi took over the Grandview Theater in 2016. Extensive renovations adding the bar area & upgrading the theater have made it the place it is today.
- Construction slated to begin in May of 2022 on a new addition.
